Llandudno Whitsun Meet 2014
On the weekend of the 24th & 25th of May, 9 Nantwich Seals swimmers made the 72 mile trip to Llandudno to compete in a very busy meet. Sadly John Crawford had to withdraw due to a torn muscle.
The weather was against us as rain & wind galore battered Llandudno. Our first wet year at this meet but that didn’t matter one little bit.
Becky Emeny, Becky Moston, Izzy Morrey, Cameron Thomson, Mattie Currie, Floss Shenton, Katie Woodbridge, Harvey Zwijnen & Lizzie Oliver competed against swimmers from North Wales & teams from the North West.
As the meet is a double age group award it was very difficult to gain any silver ware, but what the swimmers achieved was 10 times better than a medal. For some clubs a medal is all that matters but it’s the PB that’s more important, our swimmers did a fantastic job, 63 races were swam & 49 personal bests were achieved.
Well done to you all and a huge thanks to Debbie & Nigel for making it easy for your coach
